 April 20, 2021

When I walked inside the classroom, the toddlers were sitting in a chair eating breakfast. After eating breakfast, I heard the CT inform the toddlers what they were going to do next after eating breakfast. She told the toddlers they will wash their hands and walk over to the rug for floor time with the assistant teacher and me. The toddlers were picking up books turning pages from left to right using their fine motor development. Another toddler was putting small colorful balls inside the pickup truck filling and pouring. Two other toddlers were sitting down on the rug next to each other making oohs and aah sounds to each other while they look at the animals in the book.  It was circle time and the assistant teacher began singing, the good morning song. She called each student's name they were shaking their heads and clapping their hands. The toddlers were fully engaged with a smile on their faces. After circle time was over the toddlers transitioned to a hands-on activity. The toddlers were engaged in making hand prints using colorful paint such as red, green, and orange. While the toddlers were engaging in creative art one of the toddlers began screaming and laughing at the same. Art is a form of expression and maybe it was her way of expressing how she felt. Next, the toddlers walked over to the sink with the assistant teacher for handwashing to prepare for lunch. It was time for me to go and the toddlers waved their hand and smile. I told the toddlers I would see them next week.
